Sarum Wind Ensemble - founding members of the Band

Sarum Wind Ensemble is a long-established woodwind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn and bassoon).

Our members are music teachers, semi-professional and experienced amateur players. We regularly perform at St Thomas' Church in Salisbury, and at events organised by St Thomas'.

Our extensive repertoire comprises popular and light classics, with compositions for woodwind by major composers. We also have lively pieces with rhythms of jazz and dance band.

We provide a selection of music suitable for weddings, garden parties, dinners, formal and informal occasions.

Warminster School:

Your choice and execution of music is fantastic - as always, you create such a fantastic atmosphere in Boni Hall for our dinner. Please pass on my thanks again to your team.

CCF Dinner:

A fantastic evening was made all the more better by the Quintet from the Salisbury Branch of the Royal British Legion.

As a veteran myself I wanted to say thank you to both you personally and to the musicians.  It made the evening very special and brought back some great memories from my time as a serving officer.  I know it was really appreciated by all who attended.

Christmas Tree Festival at St Thomas's:

What a great recital you five players gave us this afternoon!

Many thanks to all of you for coming twice to the festival and for giving us such excellent performances. I think that your hours of practice have really been valuable because you all played with great expertise and precision.
