Salisbury City Band of The Royal British Legion
The Band rehearses at Quidhampton Village Hall, Lower Road, SP2 9AR. Lower Road runs south of, and parallel to, the A36 between Salisbury and Wilton. The Hall is on the south side. Parking is at the house to the right, or further along in the street. We meet fortnightly on Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:30.
COVID PRECAUTIONS are still in force and numbers attending are limited. Please call the Band Secretary on 01722 555208 if you would like to take part.
We frequently have vacancies, particularly for brass. We welcome past members of HM Forces Bands. However there is no requirement for Service experience. It is not necessary to march. However, players willing to take part in short parades are especially welcome.
The Band is self-financing and will charge a fee for each engagement. Once members' expenses, rehearsal and equipment charges and other running costs have been met, any profit will be donated to the Poppy Appeal.
Our aim is to undertake marching engagements in addition to the concert programme. The Band will be available for carnivals, festivals and ceremonial events.
We support other local RBL Bands and will ensure that we work together, by joining forces for special events or by passing on details of suitable engagements.
